My grandmothers were named Rose and Grace. I miss them very much. Though I can't have them with me, I feel their presence every day through the gifts they gave me, all made with their own hands, time, effort and love.

Grandma Rose especially enjoyed making ceramics, like these two bunnies. The lace doily behind them is also one of her creations.

Grandma Grace crocheted so fast that her hands, hook and yarn became a blur. She made the multi-colored afghan out of scraps of yarn saved from larger projects. The blue and white afghan is the larger of the two. It covers my queen-size bed and has kept me warm for decades.

These crafts remind me of how much I meant to my grandmas. I only wish I could tell them how very much they meant to me.
